Dye Penetrants has low surface tension and high capillary action which allow it to creep in to microscopically small cracks and pores. Cracks as narrow as 0.00025 mm can be detected. Penetrants are available in water washable and solvent removable type. All dye penetrant materials have halogen and sulphur contents to low level.
